“Eleni & Edouard epitomize the ‘new Chablis’ – Neal Martin

Les Butteaux is part of Montmains and shares the hill with Montmains 1er Cru itself and 1er Cru La Foret. Stylistically vs the right side they are arguably more citrus/racy. Picked from 50 year old vines they only make 6 barrels from 0.3 of a hectare. Fermented exclusively in tank then 1 year aging in aged barrel.
“So aromatic, lively and perfumed with grapefruit, lemons and some spicy, rich pear and apple fruit. The palate is concentrated and shows richness and freshness, with pear, grapefruit and minerals, as well as some tangerine. Textured and mouthfilling, this is just sensational”
