A partnership between Sweetdram (East London distillery) and Combier (French distillery)
- Coloured naturally with saffron
- It’s a re-imagining of a traditional, long forgotten aperitif
An exciting new aperitif from Sweetdram, distiller Andrew Macleod (ex Dodd's) after years of making Gin decided he wanted a new challenge, a challenge without the limitations of Gin, after a long and ardious search him and his team came across Escubac, an all but forgotten french aperitif and decided to give it new life, whilst not just creating it to it's exact original form. Featuring notes of caraway, cardoman, nutmeg and citrus, this can be enjoyed over ice or with tonic water if you prefer a longer serve.
It is kind of like a cross between chartreuse and gin or perhaps just a gin sans juniper… but by golly it’s good; balanced and smooth with a trail of cardamom, spice, vanilla and the merest hint of spearmint in the background, finishing harmonious and long. Tackle it with ice, tonic and lemon. Drink nice things.
